The Huntington celebrates its renaissance with a black tie ball

WHAT: On Saturday, September 6, 2014, The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens will host Celebrating The Huntington Renaissance: 26 years of transformation and achievement under the leadership of Robert A. Skotheim and Steven S. Koblik.

This year’s black tie gala will be held under the starlight and set against the dramatic backdrop of the Mansion and feature music by Wayne Foster Entertainment.  Supporters and friends will join together for drinks, dinner, and dancing to celebrate The Huntington’s renaissance.  The East lawn will be transformed for this one special night by colorful lanterns, cabana lounges, stunning florals, and a décor wall, all perched on a white floor that will cover the expanse of the party.  You have never before seen The Huntington quite like this!

Not since Henry Huntington’s time has so much been done to develop the mission and enhance the campus– new buildings, new exhibitions, new gardens, new collections, and new galleries, all with an expanded focus on research and education.

Each year The Ball is a highlight for The Huntington’s dearest friends and supporters, with more than 300 in attendance.  The proceeds raised from The Huntington Ball help sustain the vital operational and programmatic excellence of this remarkable institution.
