WHAT:  On Friday, June 12, 2015, to kick-off the Los Angeles area’s LGBT Pride weekend, The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens will host An Evening Among the Roses: A Celebration of the LGBT Community at The Huntington, a fun and elegant garden party to say thank you for the many lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender contributions to the institution. This second annual event features evening access to the Huntington Art Gallery (Henry and Arabella Huntington’s historic residence), a live DJ set by Matthew Rubino of Project Slate, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and special guests!

WHEN: Friday, June 12, 2015, 6:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.

WHERE:  In the historic Rose Garden at The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens; 1151 Oxford Rd., San Marino, Calif. (12 miles from downtown Los Angeles).

WHO: Event chairs are Jonathan Weedman (Wells Fargo Foundation), Raymundo Baltazar (“Project Runway”), and Denise and Stacy Smithers (Wells Fargo Sales and Marketing). Welcome remarks by Tom Carruth, curator  of The Huntington’s Rose Collections;  Kevin Salatino, director of The Huntington’s art collections; and Susan Turner-Lowe, vice president for communications and marketing at The Huntington.
