Whether you have a San Diego Comic-Con pass or not, you can have Funko Fun at San Diego Comic-con. Funko just announced that Simu Liu, Rosario Dawson and William Zabka will be the celebrity guests featured on Funko, Inc. San Diego Comic-Con Hall H panel on Friday and a separate ticket event “Fundays.”
In the SDCC exhibition hall, Funko will have a community-based experience at booths 5341, 5137 and 5145: Funkoville. These will be accessible with the official SDCC badges and imagined as a small town neighborhood including a movie theater, diner and grocery store. Loungefly fans can also enter a Loungefly boutique. Of course, with Funko’s recent acquisition of Mondo, there will be a record store. If you didn’t get a SDCC pass, don’t despair. You’ll be able to get exclusives from Pop!, Vinyl Soda and Loungefly via Funko.com.
Funko CEO Andrew Perlmutter said, “After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, we are thrilled to be back at San Diego Comic-Con with a presence that’s bigger than ever before. Always engineering new and exciting in-person experiences, ‘Funkoville’ is the perfect opportunity to fully immerse our fans in the Funko-inspired world that brings together everything they love about our brand: product exclusives, celebrities and more.”
If you didn’t get an SDCC badge for Friday or even any other day, you can still join the fun. Funko’s Fundays require a separate, non-convention ticket ($150) to enter. The blacklight-themed Fundays will include special guests, exclusive giveaways and a variety of contests.
