| The castle stands tall as a welcoming icon at Disneyland, as it has since the park’s opening on July 17, 1955.
And now the Sleeping Beauty Castle will inspire your artistic creations by serving as the theme of the D23 EXPO 2015 Design Challenge, which gives Disney fans the opportunity to be part of the celebration of Disneyland Resort’s 60th anniversary by submitting original artwork that showcases the beloved castle.
Twenty-three pieces of fan artwork will be spotlighted at the D23 EXPO at the Anaheim Convention Center, August 14–16, where they’ll be displayed on the show floor. A panel of creative judges selected by The D23 Team will select the 23 finalists, and the winner will be announced prior to the event.
Please consult the official rules for details, but entry forms and sketch submissions will be accepted between March 5, 2015 and April 30, 2015; finalists will be notified by May 14.
A $2,300 cash prize will be awarded to the first place winner and all of the final 23 artists will receive a pair of tickets to the EXPO (travel and accommodations are not included).
