So from someone who 100% agrees that Renee Good’s death was due to her own decisions, there’s another one about women and murders by illegal aliens.
LAKEN HOPE RILEY:
On 22 February 2024, the 22-year-old Laken Riley was attacked and murdered while jogging at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia.
José Antonio Ibarra was convicted of her murder and is serving time. He is Venezuelan and illegally entered near El Paso, TX. He was apprehended and released. As a Venezuelan without any convictions, he applied for asylum. He did, at the time of his arrest, have several arrests on record. In September 2023, he was arrested for driving a scooter without a license with a child who did not have a helmet. In October 2023, he was arrested in Athens, Georgia, and charged with theft from a Walmart. He had a bench trial and was found guilty and sentences to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Democrats noted that during his campaign in 2024, as a former president and a current presidential candidate, Trump had blocked a bipartisan border security bill., the Border Act of 2024. He argued against it was a “bad border deal is far worse than no border deal” and urged Republicans to “kill the bill.”
A bipartisan bill was passed in January 2025 and was signed into law. the Laken Riley Act that mandated federal detention of illegal immigrants arrested for burglary or theft The act began under the Joe Biden presidential administration, passing the House on 7 March 2024, but stalled in the Senate. It passed again in the House and was amended in Senate, going back to the House where it was approved and then signed into law by the current president.
In 2024, there was another murder of a woman while jogging. On 14 October 2024, Alyssa Dawn Lokits was attacked and shot while on a trail in the Nashville area. Her suspected killer, Paul Park, has been charged with criminal homicide. However, people being killed while jogging is such a common place crime that Wikipedia has a list and notes that the majority of victims are women.
JOCELYN NUNGARAY
The 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and murdered on 16 June 2024 in North Houston, Texas. Two illegal immigrants from Venezuela, Johan José Martínez-Rangel and Franklin José Peña Ramos have been charged, but have not yet gone to trial.
Despite no verdict, the current president cited the murder or Nungaray as one of the reasons his capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
In his speech, the president claimed that Maduro had sent gang members to “terrorize our people” and specifically mentioned Nungaray:
“Beautiful Jocelyn Nungaray,” he said. “What happened to her, they, as you know, they kidnapped, assaulted, and murdered by Tren De Aragua, animals. They murdered Jocelyn and left her dead under the bridge. There was a bridge, a bridge that will never be the same to so many people after seeing what happened.”
Trump said the Maduro regime emptied out the country’s prisons and the most violent offenders came to the United States.
We will have to wait and see if there is any legal evidence that what the president says is true. One should pause and consider if a president, mayor or governor should ever seem to affirm guilt before the trial.
RACHEL MORIN
Rachel Morin was raped and murdered when she went jogging on the Ma & Pa Trail in Harford County (Bel Air, Maryland). She was found the next day, 6 August 2023.
Victor Martinez-Hernandez was found guilty of first-degree premeditated murder, first-degree rape, third-degree sex offense and kidnapping in April 2025.
Martinez-Hernandez, who is an El Salvador national, had been detained by the Border Patrol for unlawfully entry to the U.S. on three separate occasions in 2023: Jan. 19, 2023, near Santa Teresa, New Mexico; Jan. 31, 2023, in El Paso, Texas; and Feb. 6, 2023, in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. According to CBS News, he was vetted and expelled after no criminal history was found.
Yet remember, the current president was against the bipartisan border bill in 2024. Further, in April 2023, 29-year-old Lauren Heike was murdered in north Phoenix on a desert trail. The 22-year-old Zion William Teasley was arrested.
I asked Google AI: Why do people protest murder trials? The reasons came up were pretty much what I expected and some I didn’t think of.

When I asked what one should be protesting, I got this response.
Of course, most people are not protesting that people should not go through immigration. That’s not what the current protests are about. According to a news report, there was vetting in place. There are immigration laws set. But notice that in the case of Nungaray, the trial has not concluded. One would be wise not to call the accused “murderers” before the trial was set.
DACARA THOMPSON
Then there is an outright lie that was easy to check.
NOT ONE DEMOCRAT TWEETED A WORD ABOUT DACARA THOMPSON WHEN AN ILLEGAL ALIEN SEXUALLY ASSAULTED HER AND THEN HE THREW HER OVER A BRIDGE.
Thompson was reported missing on 23 August 2025 in Prince George’s County. She was found dead in Annapolis on 31 August 2025.
Hugo Hernandez-Mendez of Bowie has been charged. Hernandez-Mendez, a national of Guatemala, has not been found guilty. He had previously been arrested and given nine separate tickets for drunk driving. But there were no open warrants or immigration detainers at the time. Greenbelt, Maryland has been identified as a sanctuary jurisdiction by the current presidential administration.
So we have three Venezuelans, with only one having been found guilty, one person from El Salvador who was found guilty and one person from Guatemala. These occurred in Texas, Georgia and Maryland. Only one of those states is considered a blue state, Maryland.
The congressman for Maryland’s 4th District is Democrat Glenn Ivey. The district includes Greenbelt. The district has experienced a considerable immigration from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. The district has the largest Latino population in Maryland. The race demographics are 55% Black/African American, 25% Hispanic/Latino, 11% White and 5% Asian.
Ivey did tweet about Dacara Thompson.
And additionally, for those who want to claim that Democrats didn’t tweet about Charlie Kirk or celebrated Kirk’s murder, Ivey did not celebrate, but he did tweet.
All of this has nothing to do with the legal implications and investigation of the killing of Renee Good. The protests against ICE has many reasons including the implementation of the Enemy Aliens Act and the lack of due process (Noem v. Abrego-Garcia). When you’re talking to someone about legal immigration and the Enemy Aliens Act and that person is Japanese American, you should really think before citing personal experience.
