Last year on my birthday, Leonard Nimoy sent out his last tweet. Today, I find it prophetic. I’m making a Star Trek garden. Today I’m planting daylilies called “Spock’s Ears,” “Vulcan Logic” and “Borg Technology.”  I’ve ordered some bearded irises named “Tribble.”

I’ve asked around and strongly feel that if ever there were a place for a Star Trek and science fiction-themed garden, it would be Pasadena. Anyone interested in forming a group to talk about just that possibility?
