My favorite four-lettered word is free, and today, Sunday, 24 November 2013, you can check out some famous cars from movies and TV. The cars are parked in front of the Promenade entry to the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center as part of the fifth annual Long Beach Comic and Horror Convention.

If you’re worried about long lines and nightmare traffic, this is practically a dream fantasy. Even on Saturday, the line to working wasn’t more than seven cars at noon. We paid for parking ($10) and were able to park on the ground level. There is cheaper parking, but with all the other activities going on around and in the convention center, they looked to be full at that time.

The cars are parked right outside and include: Pontiac Trans-Am from the 1982 TV series (Knight Industries Two Thousand or K.I.T.T.), a Jurassic Park vehicle, the VW Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga van (you might even see a ninja turtle or two), two Batman-related vehicles, the Back-to-the-Future DeLorean, Magnum P.I.’s red Ferrari, ObiShawn’s Star Wars-themed car and the Ghostbusters 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulance conversion.

Long Beach Comic & Horror Con continues on Sunday, November 24 at the Long Beach Convention Center from 10 a.m .to 5 p.m.  Advanced ticket holders gain early admission, starting at 9:30 am each day.
