Prom night on “Dancing with the Stars” season 16, gave us a new couple in the top three and lots of big hair along with some very scary prom photos.
Fans can also send in their own prom photos–do you really want to go there? I didn’t go to my prom, so I can’t join in with the public embarrassment. I’ll have to make up for it this weekend by dancing in the streets.
Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy had earned the top score for week one (24) and tied for first with Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough (26) for week two. That left Zendaya and Chmerkovskiy at the top of the leader board with their combined score (50/60). This week at the end of Monday night, Pickler and Hough were the top scoring team with 25 for their sassy jive.
Disney kid Zendaya and Chmerkovskiy were one point behind, but in a two-way tie for second with NFL star Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff with 24.
Tied for four-place were Olympic gold medal gymnast Alexandra Raisman and her partner Mark Ballas and boxer Victor Ortiz and new pro Lindsay Arnold with 23.
Tied for sixth are Bachelor reality star Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd and soap opera star Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson and reality star Beverly Hills wife Lisa Vanderpump and Gleb Savenchenko. Vanderpump has improved, but I’m tired of the “humor” with her little dog.
And the bottom three are the comedians Andy Dick (with Sharna Burgess) and D.L. Hughley (with Cheryle Burke) and singer Wynonna Judd and Tony Dovolani.
As you might have guessed, I’m hoping that Andy Dick will be the first off because I find him the least amusing of the two comedians.
Gleb Savchenko shirtless helped sooth my eyes that were still burning with pain from seeing Andy Dick shirtless. Sometimes more is less (painful) and less is more (appealing).

During the live shows, the judges will give each couple a score based on several factors, including technical execution. But the judges’ scores alone do not decide a couple’s fate.
Phone lines, text votes (AT&T customers only) and online voting will open at the top of each performance show so that viewers can vote for their favorites. Phone and text lines will stay open until 60 minutes after the end of the show in your local time zone. Online voting will remain open until 11 a.m. (Eastern Time)/ 8 a.m. (Pacific Time) the following day. Tuesday night, 2 April 2013, will be the first elimination for season 16 of “Dancing with the Stars.”
