After the death of Rob Reiner with his wife Michele on 14 December 2025, it took less than 24-hours for the rumor mill to run and create memes that justified the current president’s post about Rob Reiner.
The current president posted this:
The president later repeated his criticism of Reiner to reporters, claiming that as a director, Reiner was “very bad for our country.”
His supporters decided to make a meme to try and justify the president’s post.
In time, after so many people searched, the community note was added.
Assuring to People magazine, Rob Reiner (6 March 1947 to 14 December 2025) did say something about Charlie Kirk: “That should never happen to anybody. I don’t care what your political beliefs are. That’s not acceptable.”
If you wanted to look for grace, it came from James Woods who said, Rob literally saved my career and really put me back on track in a way that was so important and rewarding in my life.” Woods also noted, “I judge people by how they treat me and Rob Reiner was a godsend in my life. We got along great; we loved each other.”
As for politics, Woods said, “Do I agree on many of his ideas on how that patriotism should be enacted, to celebrate the America that we both love? No. But he doesn’t agree with me either, but he also respects my patriotism. We had a different path to the same destination, which was a country we both love.” Moreover, Woods called Rob Reiner “a great patriot.”
The Rob Reiner rumor mill ran recklessly to try and damage the reputation of one man in order to defend the behavior of the current president. There’s no respect earned there. If you used that meme, shame on you. You are a gossip at best or at worst a troll.
Respect for Woods and respect for Reiner.
