ABC likes crossovers and another long-running reality show star will be hitting the dance floor:
from “The Bachelor,” Sean Lowe.
If you’re like me and haven’t been watching ABC’s “The Bachelor,” then here’s the low down. Lowe was a contestant on season 8 of “The Bachelorette” with Emily Maynard. He came back for season 17 of “The Bachelor.” The insurance agent and former Kansas State football player who chose Catherine Giudici, 26, of Seattle, Washington.
- Sean Lowe
- Age: 28
- From: McKinney, Texas
- Partner: Peta Murgatroyd
Remember Jake Pavelka who as a contestant on the fifth season of “The Bachelorette”? He came back for season 14 of “The Bachelor.” He proposed to Vienna Girardi, but by June 2010, they had split up. The split wasn’t friendly. Pavelka couldn’t get enough of the limelight and went on to participate on DWTS for season 10 with Chelsie Hightower. They were the fifth couple eliminated. That didn’t end Pavelka’s reality run. He was a contestant on “Bachelor Pad” for ABC. Then there was VH1’s reality show “Famous Food.” He was also a guest star on “The Gold and the Beautiful” and a celebrity host for Chippendales in Las Vegas.
DWTS will be the third reality show for Sean Lowe but Lowe wants to have at least a fourth try: Lowe and Giudici want to marry on TV.
Lowe’s partner is relatively new to DWTS as a professional partner/choreographer,but she’s done a lot in little time. Beginning during season 13, the New Zealand-born dancer was paired with basketball player, Metta World Peace, and they were the first couple eliminated. Season 14 went better and Murgatroyd took NFL star Donald Driver all the way to the mirrorball trophy. Paired with Gilles Marini , Murgatroyd finished sixth during the All-Stars last season.
We know that Lowe is fit, but can he dance? And will he have a fan following that can overcome the likes of Kellie Pickler, Alexandra Raisman or NFL player Jacoby Jones? That’s doubtful, but anything can happen.
